PURPOSE: To provide the lead-acid battery, which can prevent the generation of hardness of the control of the electrolyte surface due to the adhesion of the antimony salt, which is generated by the reaction of the oil separated from a separator with antimony at the time of using a battery, to the periphery of the electrolyte surface.
CONSTITUTION: In this lead-acid battery, any one of a grid body of an electrode plate, a strap for connecting lug parts of the electrode plate, and a connector to be connected to the strap is made of lead-antimony (Pb-Sb) alloy, and the plate is covered with the fine porous film-like separator, which is mainly composed of polyethylene. In this lead-acid battery, the surface active agent is imparted to a reaction part of the lead-acid battery.
