Abstract:
PURPOSE:To preclude deviation in the rotation of internal magnetism by an external magnetic field and to measure an accurate position at all times by arranging a magnetic sensor so that its internal magnetism is in the same direction with the horizontal component of a leak magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Yokes 1 and 2 for generating leak magnetic fields F1 and F2 are arranged in parallel to each other. Then the magnetic sensor S composed of a ferromagnetic metallic film magneto-resistance element is arranged in the space A between both yokes 1 and 2 so as to measure the intensity of the leak magnetic fields F1 and F2. At this time, the magnetic sensor S is so arranged that its initial magnetism (internal magnetism) M is in the same direction with the components Fh of the leak magnetic fields F1 and F2 parallel to the yokes 1 and 2. Consequently, the internal magnetism M and the external magnetic field are in invariably the same direction, so the internal magnetism M is never reduced by the external magnetic field and the accurate position is measured at all times without causing any deviation in the rotation of the internal magnetism M.
