PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure negative pressure of a negative pressure actuator in a good condition without deteriorating fuel consumption of an internal combustion engine, by operating a negative pressure ensuring means according to an operating condition and the negative pressure condition in the downstream of an intake air rate control mechanism, and decrease-correcting an intake air rate at the time of lean combustion operation of an engine main body.
SOLUTION: An intake manifold 21 provided with a surge tank 20 is arranged downstream of an intake air rate control mechanism, and a brake mechanism 30 operated by intake negative pressure is connected to the surge tank 20. In the brake mechanism 30, step farce of a brake pedal 31 is increased by a negative pressure assistor 32 into which intake negative pressure is led from the surge tank 20 so as to operate a master cylinder 35, and brake force is applied on a vehicle. In this case, in an ECU 36, a lean operation is inhibited at a point of time when reduction of intake negative pressure generated by operation of the brake mechanism 30 is estimated, on the basis of the output of a negative pressure sensor 37 arranged aside the negative pressure assistor 32, and normal negative pressure is ensured to secure operation of the brake mechanism 30.
