To provide a legless chair with which a stand-up action can be safely and smoothly performed at ease.
When a motor is operated and a backrest part 17 and a seat part 11 are moved upward from a legless chair state by about 360mm, a chair state is provided. Until the chair state is provided, a tensile belt 35 does not exert any tensile force for folding a front side section 23 of the seat part 11 downward. When the backrest part 17 and the seat part 11 are further moved upward from this chair state by about 160mm, a stand-up state is provided. From the chair state to the stand-up state, the front side section 23 of the seat part 11 is pulled by the tensile belt 35 and gradually folded downward and in the stand-up state, only the front side section 23 is folded to a certain degree so that a sitting person can smoothly stand up.
