When the collapsible lens is brought to the photographing enabled state from the collapsed state, by reducing the driving speed in a section where a lens comes into contact with a lens cap, pushing force is increased, then, the cap is detached. Since the speed only in the section where the lens comes into contact with the cap is reduced, the setup time is not spoiled.
