To provide a lens driving device reduced in thickness and small in size, realizing the simplification of constitution, controlling a lens position with high resolution, and suitably applied to a subminiature camera.
The through-hole part 31 of a lens frame 3 is fit to a guide pin 15 erected on a base body 10 so as to make a lens 2 face to an imaging device 1, and a driving source 5 is a flat stepping motor and is arranged in a state where a rotary shaft 4 is orthogonal to an optical axis L. Two linking parts 30 overhanging in parallel from the barrel part side of the lens frame 3 are provided with a cam groove part 9 being a long hole extended nearly in parallel with the rotary shaft 4. A tapered lead screw 7 whose outside diameter is inclined is attached to the rotary shaft 4, and a slide pin 8 is meshed with the screw line of the screw 7 in posture orthogonal to the rotary shaft 4, and the end of the pin 8 is fit in a cam groove part 9 so as to slidably move. Since the screw 7 and the groove part 9 have inclined relation, the lens frame 3 is pressed and moved in the optical axis L direction by the slidable movement of the pin 8.
