PURPOSE: To use one television camera for shooting with visible beams in the daytime and shooting with near infrared rays in the nighttime.

CONSTITUTION: On the surface of a lens 1a arranged at the nearest position to an iris S in a front group lens 1 among the respective lenses constituting a lens system on the side of the iris S, an infrared cut filter function to cut infrared rays and an ND filter to decrease the permeability of light are integrally formed by coating means for a filter area 3, and this filter area 3 is circularly formed with a prescribed radius from the center of an optical axis. In the case of shooting with visible beams, since the outer peripheral side of the filter area 3 is defined as a non-filter area, the iris S controls an opening area so as to limit it within the filter area 3, and in the case of shooting with near infrared rays, the iris S is turned to a fully opened state. Thus, near infrared rays are made incident from the non-filter area outside the filter area 3 to an image forming plane P and the shooting is enabled.
