Abstract:
PURPOSE:To measure a liquid quantity with a few mechanical elements and facilitate maintenance by providing a float outside a liquid storage link, light emitting elements to irradiate the float, and light receiving elements. CONSTITUTION:When a level gauge EQ is mounted in a glass tube 16 provided between an upper fitting tube 13 and a lower fitting tube 15 of an oil tank 11, a driving signal fo is transmitted to light emitting elements LU1 - LU8 from a light emitting element driving circuit through a terminal To by control of CPU 7 of a light receiving signal processing module 2. The elements LU1 -LU8 emit light by receiving the signal fo, and irradiate light to the tube 16. Light receiving elements HD1,HD2,HD3 received 100% transmitted light through the tube 16 transmit light receiving signals of maximum level f1 -f3 to terminals T1 - T3 of the module 2. The element HD4 intercepted light with a float 19 enclosed in the tube 16 transmits a light receiving signal of lowest level f4 to a terminal T4. The elements HD5 - HD8 received a little damped light with oil 18 transmit light receiving signals of level corresponding to damping f5 - f8 to terminals T5 - T8. A receiving light signal analysis circuit 5 analyses the light receiving signals f1 - f8, and transmits a liquid level signal f10 from a terminal T10.
