Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve a wide use by inputting a light pulse string in an area where the light output level of a light threshold element is saturated, and outputting the light pulse string having level difference smaller than the level difference or without having the level difference as the light output of the light threshold element. CONSTITUTION:The light threshold element 11 is provided with such characteristic that the light output level Pout rises steeply when a light input level Pin exceeds a certain prescribed threshold value Pth, and the light output level Pout is not increased linearly for the light input level Pin even when the light input level Pin further increases, and it is saturated without changing much thereafter. When the light pulse string 2 having the level difference DELTAPin is inputted to the light threshold element 11, the light pulse string 3 having the level difference DELTAPout remarkably smaller than the level difference DELTAPin can be obtained as the output of the light threshold element 11 when the level of the input light pulse string exceeds the threshold value Pin. In such a way, the level of universality can be improved.
