PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid device which is compact and in which assembly work property is improved.SOLUTION: A lid device 20 locks a lid which is opened and closed by a hinge, at a closed position in a manner of capable of being released. The lid device comprises: a push lifter 32 for opening and closing the lid for every time when the lid is pushed; a motor 46 provided in the vicinity of the push lifter; a lock member; and a transmission mechanism 64 having a deceleration gear row for transmitting driving force of driving means to the lock member and a rack and pinion mechanism. The lock member and the transmission mechanism are arranged closer to the driving device side, than to the push lifter, and are arranged closer to the push lifter side, than a contour on a distal end side of the driving device to the push lifter, so that, the lid device is made compact and assembly work property is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
