Title:
LIFT HANDRAIL IN ENTRANCE HALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3121276
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a lift handrail for use by the aged and the disabled in an entrance hall to a top rail even when a riser part does not exist below the top rail by making one of leg poles free to expand and contract.
SOLUTION: A lift handrail 1 for use in an entrance hall comprises a handrail main body 2, leg poles 3, 4, and a reinforcing beam 9. The handrail main body 2 have their front and rear ends curved downward to prevent the clothing of users from being caught. The front leg pole 3 comprises a small-diameter part 6 slidably inserted into a large-diameter part 5 to adjust the height of the leg pole 3 through expansion and contraction and is fastened into place by a screw 7. The rear leg pole 4 has an L-shaped bracket 10 comprising front and rear pieces 10A, 10B and mounted at its lower end, the front piece 10A being secured to the front surface of a top rail 12 by a screw 11, etc. Thus by causing a rubber cap 8 at the lower end of the leg pole 3 to abut to the surface of an entrance floor 13 and securing the bracket 10 at the lower end of the peg pole 4 to the top rail 12, the handrail 1 can be installed even if the top rail 12 has no riser part.
