To provide an apparatus for a user to lift up/down to get over a level difference by himself/herself while sitting on the wheelchair.
Handrail supporting pipes 3 are erected on four corners of a lifting base plate 1 for holding a wheelchair K and horizontal handrails 2 are fixed between the tops of the pipes 3 in forward/backward directions. A hydraulic cylinder 6 having a piston shaft 4 on its lower-end head part is fixedly provided inside each pipe 3. On the plate 1, a pair of rollers 7a, 7b and 8a, 8b for shallowly sandwiching driven wheels W of the wheelchair are pivotably supported on front and rear parts of both sides of the plate with an interval, and wheel holding grooves 23 to which wheel-receiving belts 9 are loosely attached are opened and exposed on the rollers 7a, 7b and 8a, 8b. Moreover, a hydraulic pump 13 connected to hydraulic pressure pipes 12 via the cylinder 6 is fixed on the plate 1, and gears 15 and 11 are fixed on the operating shaft 14 of the pump 13 and the pivots 10 of the rollers 7a and 8a, and both gears 15 and 11 are communicated via a rotation transmission means 16.
