Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable an auxiliary stop lamp to automatically attenuate its light when a small lamp is lit at night, by providing a relay contact operated by turning in a small switch and connecting a resistor in series to the auxiliary stop lamp in the operation of said contact. CONSTITUTION:One terminal 1a of an auxiliary stop lamp 1, together with an original stop lamp 2 is connected to the + electrode of a battery 4 through a stop switch 3 provided on a brake pedal, and the other terminal 1b of the auxiliary stop lamp 1 is connected to the - electrode of the battery 4 through the brake contact B of a relay 5 and the make contact M connected to a resistor 6. And a drive coil C of the relay 5 is connected to the + electrode of the battery 4 in parallel to a small lamp 8 through a small switch 7 of a lighting switch. Thus, when the small switch 7 is turned in at night, the light of the auxiliary stop lamp 1 is automatically attenuated to prevent a driver of the following car from a dazzle.
