Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing part so as to prevent the light from a light emitting part from leaking from the first surface of a substrate, when the light emitting part is provided on the first surface of the substrate, in an OLED having the light emitting part and a translucent part.SOLUTION: Each of multiple translucent parts 154 has a region 300. Light from a light emitting part 152 may reflect on the second surface 104 of a substrate 100. Even if such light reaches the first surface 102 in the translucent part 154, refractive index difference of the substrate 100 and the region 300 is large. Consequently, this light is totally reflected on the boundary surface of the substrate 100 and the region 300, when the incident angle is somewhat large. Consequently, the light from the light emitting part 152 is prevented from leaking from the first surface 102 of the substrate 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
