Title:
LIGHT-EMITTING DIODE INDICATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6074487
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To more lighten the title element and to lessen defects of the wire- bonding by a method wherein the area of the electrode is made smaller than half of the whole surface area thereof, and at the same time, the area of the electrode is made smaller than one-third point sixth of the surface area of the element. CONSTITUTION:In case the diameter of the electrode is 205mum or less, the luminous intensity of the title element decreases monotonically, but the luminous intensity decreases steeply as soon as the diameter exceeds 240mum. That cause is thought to be reasons that a current distribution has spread at a region where the area of the electrode is less than half of the whole surface area thereof and light is absorbed by the back surface of the electrode, but some light is reflected and is emitted from the element, and other reasons. Besides, the time point when the variation ratio of decreasing of the luminous intensity beings to be recognized is from a time point after the area of the electrode exceeded 1/3.6 of the surface area of the element.
