To provide a thin film luminous element of low-driving-voltage, and a thin film luminous element where the deterioration of color purity and luminous efficiency do not occur even if the thin film luminous element has a structure of low-driving-voltage.
The structure of the film luminous element to solve the above problem includes at least an electron transmitting layer, a luminous layer containing a luminous substance, a first area, and a second area. The electron transmitting layer has the second area between the luminous layer and the first area, and a substance having a polycyclic condensed ring is contained in the first area, and the substance having the ploycyclic condensed ring is not contained in the second area.
