Title:
LIGHT IRRADIATION PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6418647
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a printing to be conducted at a high speed with a small-size and low-cost printer, by a recording method wherein a thermosensitive paper is increased in temperature due to light irradiation to be colored, melted, or sublimated.

CONSTITUTION: A thermosensitive paper 2 is fed between a drum 1 and a paper feed roller 3 to be traveled in the rotating direction of the drum 1. At this time, the thermosensitive paper 2 is brought into close contact with the surface of the drum 1 by the paper feed roller 3 and a pressure roller 8. The thermosensitive paper 2 is irradiated by a laser beam 9 between the paper feed roller 3 and the pressure roller 8, whereby the irradiated part increases temperature to be color-formed and recorded. By this method, a printer is enhanced in resolving power and capable of conducting a high-speed printing.
