Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable composed components to be fixed mutually by using an ultraviolet ray hardening agent with no non-hardened part being left. CONSTITUTION:A light module is composed of several components such as a semiconductor laser 1, an optical fiber 2, a stem 5 and so on, and at least portions 3, 5 of the components are fixed mutually by using a light hardening member such as an ultraviolet ray hardening material 4 or the like. An optical fiber fixing ferrule 3 that are components fixed mutually by the light hardening member material 4, and at least one part 3 of the stem 5 are formed by a member transparent to the light wave used for the light hardening(e.g. silica). One part 3 of the circumferential components of the light hardening part which is hardened by using an ultraviolet ray is formed by member transparent to the light wave used for hardening, and uniform hardening and fixing can be carried out without forming any light shadow even for the hardening part which is necessary to have some complicated shape, thus a highly reliable light module can be provided.
