Abstract:
To provide a light source device capable of reducing size and a projection device having the light source device.SOLUTION: A light source device comprises: an excitation light irradiation device 70 emitting blue wavelength band light; a dichroic mirror part 201 through which the blue wavelength band light is transmitted and which reflects red wavelength band light; a fluorescent wheel device 100 disposed such that the blue wavelength band light having transmitted through the dichroic mirror part 201 is made incident at an angle inclined with respect to an incidence plane, which has a reflection region 102 reflecting the blue wavelength band light, and a red light emitting region emitting fluorescent light including the red wavelength band light by irradiation of the blue wavelength band light; and a reflection mirror part 202 reflecting at least the blue wavelength band light. The fluorescent wheel device 100 is disposed such that the blue wavelength band light reflected in the reflection region 102 is made incident into the reflection mirror part 202, and the red wavelength band light emitted in the red light emitting region is made incident into the dichroic mirror part 201 and the reflection mirror part 202.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
