Abstract:

To provide a light source driving circuit capable of reducing light emission delay time in light output and improving response characteristics, an optical scanner, and an image forming apparatus.

A light source driving circuit includes: a driving current generating unit that generates a driving current including a predetermined current acquiring a predetermined light intensity from a light source, and first and second overshoot currents added in synchronization with the predetermined current; and a control unit that sets, to the driving current generating unit, a value of the first overshoot current to a fixed value, and a value of the second overshoot current to a value calculated according to the light intensity output from the light source.
