Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve durability and to facilitate maintenance by lighting up aluminum louvers by the rays introduced by optical fibers.
CONSTITUTION: The photoirradiation ends 14a of optical fiber cables 14 are disposed apart from the aluminum louvers 10 on the outer side of the aluminum louvers 10 and the aluminum louvers 10 are irradiated with the light emitted from the photoirradiation ends 14a so that the aluminum louvers 10 are lighted up at night time. Design covers 16 are disposed on the outer side of the optical fiber cables 14 to cover the optical fiber cables 14 so to make the cables invisible from the lateral side. The optical fiber cables 14 are provided for the respective aluminum louvers 10 or one piece each of the optical fiber cables 14 are provided for two pieces each of the aluminum louvers 10. The other ends of the optical fiber cables 14 are introduced to the point at the leg or central part of the span of a bridge, where operators for maintenance and inspection are easily accessible. The light source is provided at this point.
