Abstract:

To set a desired wavelength path between an out node and an in node.

In an out node A, at least one recommended wavelength path presenting a series of wavelengths to be used between the out node A and an in node D is selected on the basis of resource use conditions collected from the in node D and relay nodes B and C, and a recommended path notice containing the recommended wavelength path is transmitted to the in node D via the relay nodes B and C. In the in node D, a utilizable recommended wavelength path is selected out of the recommended wavelength paths contained in the received recommended path notice, a resource to be used for the recommended wavelength path is set by the present node for data communications, and a selected path notice containing the selected wavelength path is transmitted to the out node A via the relay nodes B and C. In the relay nodes B and C and the out node A, the resource to be used for the recommended wavelength path contained in the received selected path notice is set by the present node for data communications.
