To provide a lighting control system that can enhance the accuracy of automatic detection of a human irrespective of the presence or absence of a periodically moving object within a predetermined range imaged by imaging means.
A lighting control system has lighting equipment 5, an image sensor 1 having imaging means for imaging a predetermined range, and a controller 2 for controlling the lighting equipment 5 on the basis of the existence or non-existence of a human body within the predetermined range. The controller 2 determines an object repetitively appearing in a differential image group of respective images obtained by the image sensor 1 during plural periods as a periodical motion object which makes a periodical motion and does not determine as a human. After the object repetitively appearing in the differential image group is determined as the periodical motion object, the existence or non-existence of a human body within the predetermined range is determined on the basis of a differential image I30 of the images obtained by the image sensor 1.
