Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce high frequency noises leaking to the outside.
CONSTITUTION: A drive coil 2 is wound on an electrodeless discharge lamp 1 wherein a discharging gas is encapsulated in a light transmissive bulb, and a high frequency power is supplied to this coil 2 from a high frequency power supply circuit 3, to which a DC power is supplied from a DC power supply circuit 4. Power is supplied to this circuit 4 from the AC mains, and the circuits 3, 4 are accommodated in a metal shield case 7. In a position on this shield case 7 near a power line takeout hole, a high frequency cutoff filter 9 is installed on the power line 12 leading from the AC mains 8 outside of the shield case 7 to the DC power supply circuit 4. The filter 9 cuts off high frequency noises which are generated in the high frequency power supply circuit 3, conducted through space condition, and led to the power line 11. Thus eventually included noises do not proceed farther than this cutoff filter 9.
