To provide a lighting device with good lighting efficiency which can be easily manufactured.
The lighting device A has a spot-shaped light source 3 emitting light radially from front side to lateral side, and a light guide plate 2 which has a light incident surface 21 located in front of the light source 3, at one peripheral end part 2a of its lateral elongation, enabling to emit the light entered inside from the first light incident surface 21a outside, through a prescribed light emitting surface 23, while making the above light travel toward the other peripheral end part 2b of its lateral elongation. The light guide plate 2 comprises the second light incident surfaces 21b, 21c located at a side of the light source 3, and light reflection surfaces 22a, 22b which enable the light traveling inside the light guide plate 2 from the second light incident surface 21b, 21c to perform total reflection.
