Title:
SLUDGE DEHYDRATING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3141766
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively dehydrate even a sludge difficult to dehydrate as well as a sludge relatively easy to dehydrate with high efficiency into a dehydrated sludge having a low content of water.
SOLUTION: A sludge is flocculated with a high molecular flocculant, then supplied to a dehydrator and dehydrated. In this method, a cationic high molecular flocculant is added to the sludge to be supplied to a dehydrator to form a coarse floc, the floc is gravity-dehydrated and concentrated, an amphoteric high molecular flocculant is added to the concd. sludge, and then the sludge is mechanically dehydrated. A high molecular flocculant having 0.8-13meq/g cationic equivalent value Cv and 0.1-6.0meq/g anionic equivalent value Av is preferably used as the amphoteric flocculant.
