To determine the sensing area of a sensor at the optimum area in response to the setting site of the sensor, and thereby enhance the accuracy of the sensor.
This lighting system includes a sensing part 14 sensing illuminance or a human body located in the circumference, and also a control part 15 controlling an electricity feeding condition toward a light source in response to a signal sent from the sensing part 14, and furthermore it is provided with a sensing area changing means 21 changing the sensing area of the sensing part 14. This constitution thereby enables the sensing area of the sensing part 14 to be determined at the optimum area in response to its setting site, and thereby enables the sensing accuracy of the sensing part 14 to be enhanced.
