PURPOSE: To provide a lighting fixture for automobile which can improve the operation performance without sacrificing the appearance and reliability, and regulate chattering.

CONSTITUTION: A bulb 12 is installed on a housing 11, and a lens 13 is held on the housing 11 so as to cover the bulb 12, and a slide type switch body 16 for operating the put-ON state of the bulb 12 is installed on the bottom surface side of the housing 11, and an operating projection 17b close to the opening 11a is projectingly installed on the surface 17a of a knob 17 which closes the opening 11a formed on the housing 11, from the bottom surface side, and an erection wall part 17d fitted with the slider projection 16a of the switch body 16 is formed on the bottom surface 17c of the knob 17. A pair of ribs 17e and 17e extended along the slide direction of the knob 17 so as to project toward the switch body 16 side from the erection wall part 17d and nip the slider projection 16a are formed on the bottom surface 17c of the knob 17.
