To predict life with high accuracy without any contradiction by diagnosing while analyzing life with the assistance of the on-line monitoring and by reflecting information on periodic inspection so that the life of an equipment is accurately predicted during operation, parts can be used as long as possible and appropriate maintenance control is executed.
During the operation of an equipment, an event causing a damage factor and operating parameter are respectively measured and converted into numerical data, so that the changing trend of the event during the present operation is found out. A pattern to be matched is selected by being compared with plural types of operating patterns previously analyzed according to the predicted operating conditions of the equipment. An on-line measured value along the selected pattern is corrected by a measured value at the time of periodic inspection which is analyzed based on the actual data at the time of periodic inspection. Damage at the present point of time is evaluated, and comparison is made between the analytic pattern of a damage trend based on the actual data obtained at the time of periodic inspection or at the time of experiments and the pattern of the measured value by the damage evaluation at the present point of time, thereby deviation between both the patterns is found out. The pattern is corrected based on the deviation, and the remaining life the equipment is determined based on a damage evaluation result.
