PURPOSE: To constitute a system wherein the enhancement of productivity, the conservation of energy and labor saving were attained, in the painting of a rolled steel material, by directly connecting a rolling processing production line to a painting processing line.
CONSTITUTION: In the production system of a rolled steel material wherein a block (I) for rolling steel to a desired steel material and a refining block (II) having cooling, correction, cutting and inspection processes are arranged in this order, a pretreatment block (III) removing scale to clean the steel material is at first provided in the refining block (II) or immediately after said block (II). Next, a painting block (IV) for painting the steel material by using one paint selected from aqueous type, solvent type, solventless type and powder type paints is provided. A brush roll apparatus and a high pressure air spray apparatus are arranged to the pretreatment block (III). In the painting block (IV), spray painting using an aqueous paint is pref. employed from the aspect of productivity or safety.
