Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify slide table machining work and miniaturize and lighten the whole of a linear actuator by reducing the width of a actuator body in its cross direction without deteriorating the linearity accuracy of the slide table.
CONSTITUTION: A linear actuator 10 is provided with a cylinder body 12 in which an opening 26a is formed, a slide table 14, a joint member 24, which is jointed at the bottom face section of the slid table 14 in nearly orthogonal relationship, and a pair of pistons 42a and 42b, which are slidably arranged along the cylinder chamber demarcated in a through hole 32 and press the joint member 24 with pressure fluid supplied. In addition, it is provided with a guide section 56 expandedly formed oh the bottom face section of the slide table 14, a pair of guide blocks expandedly formed in the top face of the cylinder body 12 and a plurality of ball bearings interposed between the guide section 56 and the guide blocks.
