In the linear movement bearing device 1 for a spindle, a plurality of plane parts 22 extending in an axial direction are formed on an outer peripheral surface of a guide post 2, a plurality of plane parts 42 extending in the axial direction while respectively facing plane parts 22 of the guide post 2 are formed on an inner peripheral surface of a through-hole 41 of an outer cylinder 4, and a plurality of rollers 6 are disposed so as to roll in the axial direction on the plane parts 22, 42 of the guide post 2 and the outer cylinder 4. The outer cylinder 4 includes an outer cylinder body 43, and slide plates 5 attached to portions contacted by the rollers 6 of the inner peripheral surface of the through-hole 41 to compose the plane parts 42. The outer cylinder body 43 is formed of a material with a high vibration damping property, and the slide plate 5 is formed of a hard material.
