To eliminate roughness and stiffness on the surfaces of exterior sheets in conventional products as caused by excessive hardening of embossed parts due to a higher temperature in a heat embossing of liquid absorbable articles (for example, paper diapers) in which the exterior sheets made of nonwoven fabrics and undergoing the heat embossing are arranged on the outermost layer thereof.
In the liquid absorbable article, an absorbent 4 is interposed between a liquid permeable top sheet 2 and a non-liquid permeable back sheet 3 and the exterior sheet 5 comprising a nonwoven fabric sheet is joined on the external surface of the back sheet 3. The exterior sheet used undergoes the heat embossing at a relatively low heating temperature of 140°C to 150°C or less. Thus, even in a liquid absorbable article using the nonwoven fabric sheet undergoing the heat embossing, the softness and smoothness can be secured for the external surface thereof.
