Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a liquid crystal alignment agent comprising the following components (A), (B) and (C): (A) at least one type of polymer selected from the group consisting of polyimides, polyamic acids, polyamic acid esters, polyorganosiloxanes, polyesters, polyamides, and polymers of monomers having a polymerizable unsaturated bond; (B) at least one type of compound selected from the group consisting of polyether polyols, polyester polyols, polycarbonate polyols, and polycaprolactone polyols; and (C) an organic solvent. The liquid crystal alignment agent according to the present invention has good adhesion even when low temperature firing is performed, and can provide a liquid crystal alignment film obtained from the liquid crystal alignment agent.
