To provide a highly-reliable liquid crystal display device structured to electrically connect a counter electrode 6 formed on a glass substrate 2 to an electrode pad 8 formed on a circuit substrate 3 through a conductive resin 7, to cover the exposed part 10 in an end portion of a contact part of the counter electrode 6 formed on the glass substrate 2 with the conductive resin 7, thereby preventing water from entering from the exposed part 10 in the end portion thereof.
The liquid crystal display device includes: a first electrode substrate having a plurality of pixel electrodes; and a second electrode substrate having a counter electrode facing the first electrode substrate, wherein the liquid crystal display panel is configured by bonding the first electrode substrate and the second electrode substrate together at a predetermined position with a predetermined distance. The liquid crystal display device has the liquid crystal display panel, wherein the counter electrode provided on the second electrode substrate is electrically connected to the electrode pad provided on a facing surface of the circuit substrate through the conductive resin. The liquid crystal display device has no exposed part at the end of the contact surface between the conductive resin and the counter electrode formed on the second electrode substrate by forming a fracture surface of the second electrode substrate, onto which the conductive resin is applied, in an inclined shape.
