Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the dispersion of characteristic in a display electrode even when positional deviation is caused between conductive films constituting a drain line and a display electrode and to realize high-quality display in a liquid crystal display device in which a thin film transistor is used as a switching element.
CONSTITUTION: The drian line 18 connected to the thin film transistor is formed of the 1st conductive film and the display electrode 19 is formed of the 2nd conductive film. A compensation line 19a consisting of the 2nd conductive film is superposed on the drain line 18 so that projection parts may be projected from both sides of the drain line 18, and the display electrode 19 is formed and pattern-forming is performed simultaneously. The space dimension of the projection parts on both sides of the line 19a is kept constant within the range of the projection part even when the positional deviation is caused between the drain line 18 and the display electrode 19, and a capacity obtained between both of them is made constant and the characteristic of the display electrode 19 is stabilized.
