To prevent the discontinuity of a scan signal line by forming the scan signal line so that its extending direction is matched with the direction orthogonally crossed to a take-plate direction in a glass raw plate manufacturing process of one side transparent glass substrate.
The scan signal lines 2 extended in the (x) direction and arranged side by side in the (y) direction is formed on the liquid crystal side surface of the transparent glass substrate 1. Further, video signal lines 3 insulated from these scan signal lines 2, extended in the (y) direction and arranged side by side in the (x) direction are formed. Then, respective pixel areas are constituted of rectangular areas surrounded by the scan signal lines 2 adjacent to each other and the video signal lines 3 adjacent to each other. In such a constitution, the scan signal lines 2 are constituted of Cr or its alloy layer, and are formed directly on the liquid crystal side surface of the transparent glass substrate 1 so as to be extended in the (x) direction of the transparent glass substrate 1 and arranged side by side in the (y) direction. Thus, the occurrence of the snapping of a wire in the scan signal lines 2 is prevented.
