A display area as a set of pixel areas is divided into one display area and the other display area about an x-directional virtual line; and a scanning signal drive circuit which supplies a scanning signal to respective gate signal lines on one display area side and a scanning signal drive circuit which supplies a scanning signal to respective gate signal lines on the other display area side are formed separately. Drain signal lines on one display area side and drain signals on the other display area side are separated and a video signal drive circuit which supplies a video signal to the respective drain signal lines on one display area side and a video signal drive circuit, which supplies a video signal to the respective drain signal lines on the other display area side are formed separately.
