Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the possibility of deterioration in display quality and to improve the production yield by arranging spacers in areas facing areas between picture element electrodes on a transparent substrate in a top coat film covering the opposite transparent substrate. CONSTITUTION:Many spherical spacers 24 are arranged in the areas of the top coat film 23 facing the areas between the respective picture element electrodes 12 of the electrode transparent substrate 11 in the top coat film 23 covering the opposite transparent substrate 21. Then the spacers 24 are made to abut on an orienting film 16 on the other electrode transparent substrate 11 to prescribed the gap between both the transparent substrates 11 and 21 with the spacers 24 and a liquid crystal phase 30 is injected into the gap between both the transparent substrates 11 and 21 which is prescribed with the spacers 14. Consequently, the liquid crystal panel with superior display quality is obtained and the spacers do not gather in a display picture area to generate a display defect, and the production yield is improved.
