Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the quality of an image, which is enlarged and projected on a screen by a liquid crystal panel, with simple constitution.
CONSTITUTION: An optical means 3 is provided between the liquid crystal panel 2 and a screen 4. This optical means 3 consists of the 1st refraction part composed of two parallel plane glass plates 3a and 3c and the 2nd refraction part composed of two parallel plane glass plates 3b and 3d. An image transmitted through the 1st refraction part and an image transmitted through the 2nd refraction part are enlarged and projected on the screen 4 while shifted slightly to obtain the image of high picture quality.
