The objective liquid detergent composition includes a mixture of the compounds represented by the following general formula (I): R1-O-(C2H4 O)n-SO3M (wherein R1 is selected from the alkyl group (R1B) of 10-16 total carbon number selected from primary alkyls and secondary alkyls or a straight- chain alkyl (R1L) of 10-16 carbon number; n is an integer of 0-15; M is an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal; the molar ratio of R1B to R1L, the ratio of the compounds of n=1-15, the ratio of the compounds of n=0 and the average value of n are individually in the specific ranges) in an amount of 20-50 wt.% wherein the total amounts of the surfactants are in the range of 20-60 wt.%.
