To provide a liquid developer for electrostatic charge image development having good fixability and providing a high resolution image of high image density with good transferability, and to provide an image forming method using the same, also to provide a low-pollution liquid developer which suppresses generation of solvent vapor in fixation, and further to provide a liquid developer in which a colorant is satisfactorily dispersed.
The liquid developer for electrostatic charge image development is obtained by dispersing toner particles comprising a colorant and a resin in a carrier liquid having a high resistance and a low dielectric constant, wherein a principal component of the resin is a crystalline polyester resin whose melt mass flow rate measured at 150±0.4°C under an applied load of 160±10 g in accordance with JIS K 7210 is 10-1,200 g/10 min.
