Abstract:
To provide a liquid developer and a method for manufacturing the liquid developer for maintaining fixing property of an image on a recording medium for a long period of time and suppressing discoloration of the image, and also to provide an image forming apparatus using a liquid developer.
The liquid developer comprises toner containing a binder resin containing a charge controlling resin, a colorant and an electromagnetic wave absorbent, the toner being dispersed in an insulating organic solvent, wherein the colorant and the electromagnetic wave absorbent together with the charge controlling resin are subjected to a flushing treatment.
