Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developing device for preventing toner from firmly sticking on a developing roller, enhancing a squeezing efficiency, and also, preventing surplus developer concentrated especially at both edges of a photoreceptor from diffusing.
SOLUTION: A control roller 9 is arranged with leaving a gap with reference to an image area on a belt photoreceptor 3 and a developing roller 4, and in figure, the roller 9 is driven with counterclockwise rotation so that irregularities in a toner image on the belt photoreceptor 3 may not occur and the surplus developer may be thoroughly discharged. An alternating field is generated between the developing roller 4 and the control roller 9, then, the toner sticking on the developing roller 4 is dispersed again, and the toner is prevented from firmly sticking. The control roller 9 is provided with an annular part projecting in the circumferential direction on the axial end of the roller, and it is allowed to coat the surface of a metallic shaft with fluororesin having a high surface energy. An air nozzle is arranged so as to prevent the liquid from diffusing outside an image area and so as to speed up a drying process.
