Abstract:

To provide a liquid discharging apparatus which can reduce a necessary floor area in comparison with the case where liquid discharging heads are arranged in parallel, because a plurality of liquid discharging heads are made to overlap stepwise.

The plurality of liquid discharging heads of the liquid discharging apparatus are arranged to be able to discharge in the same direction to a material to be recorded from nozzles along a second direction in which a relative position to the material to be recorded moves. At the same time, the liquid discharging heads overlap with adjacent liquid discharging heads stepwise towards a direction nearly the same as the second direction.
