Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve mixture of fuel and the air and to improve combustibility by applying a turning force to a spiral groove of a turning guide fitting for liquid fuel, increasing the force by a conical hole of the fitting, and abruptly diffusing it from a semispherical recess.
CONSTITUTION: A radial passage and an annular passage 40c continued in an axial passage are formed in a bearing case 16 of a small-sized jet engine, and a plurality of radial holes 41 are formed at an equal interval of a circumference from the passage 40c. A turning guide fitting 42 engraved with a spiral groove 43 on a periphery and a fuel guide fitting 44 continuously formed with a conical hole 45 reduced in its diameter out of its radial direction and a straight hole 46 are closely engaged with the holes 41. A turning force is applied when fuel F fed under pressure is fed from the passage 40c to the groove 43, increased in the hole 45, then compressed by an atomizing hole 48 and abruptly diffused from a semispherical recess 94 and hence injected to a primary combustion chamber as atomized fog.
