Abstract:
PURPOSE:To accurately measure a liquid level through remote operation by installing a casing pipe which incorporates a transmitter/receiver for a radar wave vertically on a storage part. CONSTITUTION:The casing pipe 4 which incorporates the transmitter/receiver 3 for the radar wave is installed vertically on the storage tank 1. Then when the liquid level is measured, the device 3 sends the radar wave to the liquid surface 5 while a cylinder 11 contacts the device 3 and receives the radar wave reflected by the liquid surface 5. Then it is recorded by a cathode-ray tube, etc., and data processing under the control of a computer is performed to measure the liquid level. Thus, the liquid in the storage tank 3 is not contacted, the device is free from staining and trouble, and the liquid level is accurately measured by the remote operation.
