Abstract:
PURPOSE: To offer a liquid receiver for a refrigerating cycle, which considerably reduces the generation amount of foam due to dropping of high-pressure liquid refrigerant, and allows judgement of the proper amount of refrigerant to be filled without using a special equipment, so that the filling amount of refrigerant can be restrained to the minimum required.
CONSTITUTION: An inlet union 19 as a refrigerant inlet is provided at a position of a height L2 which is half the height L1 or less, where L1 is the height from the inside bottom up to the upper face of a liquid receiver 1, and a desiccant layer 17 is arranged at a position slightly lower than the inlet union 19.
