PURPOSE: To provide the titled siloxane polymer having a refractive index variable freely within a wide range, by reacting a siloxane polymer containing hydrogenated silicon with a specific organic compound having substituent group9 for the control of refractive index.
CONSTITUTION: The hydrosilylation reaction of (A) an organic compound having one or more carbon-carbon unsaturated bonds and a substituent group for the control of refractive index (preferably an aromatic hydrocarbon group or a fluorine-containing hydrocarbon group) with (B) a siloxane polymer having hydrogenated silicon group (e.g. the polymer of formula) to obtain the objective siloxane polymer having the above substituent group introduced into the side chain of the above siloxane polymer.
