To provide a liquid storage container, along with a method of manufacturing the same, particularly suitable for a small-capacity ink cartridge of an on-carriage type or the like, and capable of keeping a degassing effect by sucking gas in a liquid storage chamber to a degassing chamber side by a differential pressure even after being opened from a depressurized package.
A liquid storage container 1 includes a case 10 in which at least one liquid storage chamber 370, 390, 430 in communication with the outside air is formed and an opening sealing film 80 which seals an opening surface of the case 10. The liquid storage container is packaged in the a depressurized package until it is used by a consumer and opened upon usage. The liquid storage container 1 is provided with at least one degassing chamber 501, 511, 512, 521, 531 which is disposed adjacent to the at least one liquid storage chamber 370, 390, 430 and in which sealed space not filled with liquid and not in communication with the outside air even after the opening of the depressurized package serves as depressurized space so that the gas in the at least one liquid storage chamber 370, 390, 430 is sucked by a differential pressure.
